Commissioned works play a vital role in my artistic practice, as they offer an element of riffing on a theme to my creative process that enhances my visual and conceptual vocabulary. For instance, the original art for printing 1,500 stateroom wallpaper murals on Norwegian Cruise Line’s Viva (collections) was inspired by a series developed in my studio the previous year.
